In the past 24 hours in Albania, the number of infected patients and those hospitalized in COVID hospitals has increased.
Of the 270 tests performed on suspected cases of infection, 17 of them tested positive. 11 of the positives are cases that have had contact with previously confirmed positive cases, while 6 of them undergo epidemiological investigations in the field as they are new cases not linked to outbreaks.
Today's positive cases are distributed as follows: 9 cases in Tirana, 5 cases in Kruja and 3 cases in Kamza where a new outbreak occurred. Since the outbreak began, 19 people have been confirmed positive for COVID-820.
In the last 24 hours there have been no recoveries, but in spite of this, about 70% of the infected have won the battle against coronavirus. There are currently 219 active subjects with COVID19. The Ministry of Health confirmed not only the increase in cases in the last 24 hours, but also the increase in the number of hospitalized people.
Yesterday they were there 8 infections, while today 17. In two COVID hospitals, there are 38 hospitalized, 5 more than yesterday, including 8 in intensive care. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to continue to respect physical distance and take care of personal hygiene. An invitation that also extends to companies that have opened businesses to strictly comply with safety protocols.
