It reaches 18 coronavirus victims in Albania. This morning a 67-year-old from Tirana died, hospitalized for 13 days in the hospital for infectious diseases, and for 6 days he was intubated and undergoing hemodialysis treatment that was performed inside the hospital for infectious diseases.
Meanwhile, 29 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified from 216 people tested in the past 24 hours in Albania.
To date, 2247 suspect cases have been tested and, of these, 332 cases have been confirmed positive with COVID-19. The average age of positive COVID-19 cases is 50 years.
In the past 24 hours, 10 patients have left the hospital, bringing the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 to 99.
Currently 71 patients are hospitalized at the two COVID hospitals.
66 patients are admitted to the infectious disease hospital. 6 of them are in intensive care, one of whom is intubated. The rest of the inpatients are so far in stable conditions.
While in the COVID 2 "Shefqet Ndroqi" hospital, there are 5 hospitalized patients, 2 of whom are intubated.
The number of people affected by COVID-19 has increased in Tirana, Durres, Elbasan Has, Lushnje, Kavaja, Lezha and Shkodra.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again addresses citizens with an appeal: do not go to the hospital immediately! The Ministry has provided a FREE green line 0800 40 40 to all citizens looking for information or advice on COVID-19. This line will also serve chronic patients to get information on how to contact their family doctor, how they can benefit from drugs and reimbursement and any other needs. Call the single emergency number 127 when signs of illness appear.
