If you leave for Albania, avoid the usual things of a tourist, such as lots of cash.
No matter the starting point, much sooner, however you will have to answer some very interesting questions about the departure (hoping that you are in a good mood, unless the madness is not part of your favorite mood).
- How long will you stay?
- What are you going to do?
- Who will you meet?
- Will you go to some other place other than Albania? .. etc. etc.,
Such questions that normally have only one answer - "But do you go to ...?"
But you will return to normal once you get on the plane.
If you do not master the Albanian language and do not know the culture, it will be difficult for you to understand that people who help each other, who help an elderly person, a woman or a mother with children. They are not relatives, and they do not have blood ties but they met a few minutes before the precedence.
You will begin to feel comfortable or lucky at that moment, because before you heard too much "sayings about the Albanians".
Ah, maybe on some occasion, you will hear some people overheat ... don't worry, they only talk passionately and it's normal.
Then the time comes, when the announcement arrives from the cockpit that between the 10-15 minutes the plane will land, so you have to take the necessary precautions (such as stripping the seat belts, etc.)
This is a really scary time. Especially if you're on the window side.
You will see torn mountain parts and, even if you have the right imagination, they will not help you understand the wonderful landscape paintings that were there.
You'll see the huge remains of some once giant factories that employed tens of thousands of workers.
You will see new "apartments", carelessly made, brutally uncaring in the fields, plots, near the rivers ... eternally robbed landscapes, where a "house" could not be built. Landmarks, architecture, adjacent distorted houses, which give you the impression that a drunken God had put them all there, or simply out of anger because he had quarreled with his wife.
Once the plane has landed, everything returns to human normality.
The police are polite and ready to help you ... many people waiting for their relatives, where the excitement and enthusiasm to see them are read clearly and finally the courteous taxi driver by name. Hmm, that makes you a good price and that you will seem to know or know his name ... but that is really just a taxi driver who just sits down, in a non-negotiable tone, tells you "Put on your belt".
Don't be surprised: when the waitresses treat you like a "King", they don't know you, it's part of the culture.
Don't be surprised: that when you go to buy something and you're trying to spend less ... and they help you, they don't know you, it's part of their culture.
Don't be surprised: when you meet friendly and loving people ... not because they know you ... it's part of culture.
Don't be surprised: when you look at young men and women who are well dressed, it's not a show ... they are like that.
Don't be surprised: when you meet very hard-working and very poor people who want to offer you "a coffee" with a lot of love and heart.
Don't be surprised: when on the "Crime" and the "Drug" you read and heard you will not see it and you will hear it on the street, as in the country you came from ... but if you miss and want to know, just turn on the TV or Facebook - and it's there ... on news, articles, statute ... but if you really feel the need to look at it and feel it to the bone ... see the parliament, listen to the politicians, watch the political shows ... read every line, word, letter ... of those who live with and how result of what they write ..
Don't be surprised ..
And I, like you, see this as a crime against a society, a people.
I see it as I do it, as a mission to eliminate every smile from the lives of those wonderful people you met and met.
I see it as you, like a fatal bombardment of investments, businesses and the creation or development of a country.
Don't be surprised that neither the law nor God punishes and condemns them.
These are the criminals and the scum that make these people unhappy.
It is a vital people, since no human being could resist this political and media barbarism called terrorism. Throughout the civilized world, it is simply called a different opinion and freedom of speech.
Don't be surprised.
Continue to enjoy the human wonders that this place has to offer ... but turn off the TV, don't browse the newspapers and Facebook and have fun.
Maybe one day intellectuals and people who love this place will wake up and say:
