Faik Konica (15 March 1875 - 15 December 1942), born in Konica, was one of the greatest figures of Albanian culture in the first decades of the twentieth century. In the prewar Albanian minister in Washington, his literary magazine, Albania, became the focal publication of Albanian writers living abroad. Faik Konica has written very little in terms of literature, but as a stylist, critic, publicist and politician he had a huge impact on Albanian writing and culture of the moment.
