Albania in the 2017 was discovered by many foreign tourists who arrived to admire the beauty of the beaches, but also of the mountains.
The Albanians, however, continue to prefer other destinations such as the Turkey, in particular Antalya . The data of theTirana international airport they report about 63.000 people in 2017 have traveled to Antalya, having a exponential growth by the 53% with respect tolast year.
Within two years the number of Albanians who prefer to spend their holidays in Turkey has almost doubled.
As is reported from the Albanian magazine Monitor, in 2015 the numerical index of passengers who flew to Antalya was of 35.000; in the 2016 it recorded a growth of the 16% despite the fact that Turkey had been involved in a military coup which, however, did not frighten the Albanian citizens, who indeed were attracted by more advantageous and economic prices.
Antalya, in particular, remains the favored destination for the value for money, due to the wide range of packages offered especially for families and for ease of achievement thanks to charter flights.
The stay time is calculated on average from seven to ten nights. Considering a minimum expenditure ofvacation package'of 300-400 euro we deduce that the expense of the Albanians in the Turkish beach of Antalya during the 2017 was at least 10-12 million euros.
During the 2017, moreover, the total number of passengers who traveled to and from Tirana airport was equal to 179.000, marking an increase of 8% compared to the total travelers of the year 2016.
The destination Antalya includes the 35% of the total, while in second place there is Poland (with Warsaw and Katowice) with total passengers 54.000, the 30% of the total, of which mostly return flights of Polish tourists who last year they 'conquered' the Albanian beaches favored by the offers all inclusive proposed by many hotels.
Followed by London, Kiev and Prague: also for these three European capitals the number of passengers registered an increase compared to the 2016.
