To reach Albania, today, in addition to the flights, the ferry is used to the Albanian ports of Durres, Vlora, Shëngjin and Saranda.
It is no coincidence that according to various data published on the net by Instat and the Durazzo Port Authority, it is precisely this means of transport that is increasingly used by travelers loving Albania. Reservations that, therefore, have increased more and more during the 2019.
Certainly, using the ferry to travel means experiencing an unusual experience with its difficulties regarding the two central weeks of August, and which we have reported several times.
The INSTAT data regarding the transport of goods and passengers showed that, for the first seven months of the 2019, 715.797 passengers chose maritime transport, recording an increase of 5,4% compared to the same period a year ago.
Also according to the national statistical institute, the number of passengers who chose maritime transport during the month of July 2019 amounted to 232.975; compared to July 2018, this indicator has registered a very slight decline.
That of Durres is the port that surely records the greatest number of passengers but also those of Saranda, Valona and Shëngjin at the height of the tourist season have recorded a greater flow of passengers compared to the same period of the 2018.
In August, a tourist invasion of the port of Durres
