Street Games in Novara: the reds blacks of the Ura Association again champions
Sports, exhibitions, competitions, meetings, entertainment, enthusiasm, volunteer work, plus a special focus on social issues, are the Street Games in Novara or rather what has now become a summer mini-Olympiad in Novara. Nothing is missing!
Street Games are the brainchild of Michele Belletti and Paolo Rabellotti, first in Galliate and now in the historic center of Novara. Almost all sports clubs in the Novara area participate in competitions and sports meetings for the outdoor public, bringing a wave of overwhelming vitality and enthusiasm for the whole city.
This year the biggest sports festival in Novara saw the Ura Association winner of the "Calcio a 5" tournament for the second time in a row.
The Ura Association, born as a reference point for all Albanians in the area and with the aim of facilitating and promoting their participation and integration in the various Novara activities, was the only one to represent a foreign community in this very important event. , succeeding among other things to come out of it splendidly winner.
Integration comes into play, the real driving force of these games, as well shown by the red-black shirts with the double-headed eagle worn by Albanian, Italian and Romanian boys, which alternated brilliantly between all the games of the week. What better sport integration!
But this time it is an integration "on the contrary" as Ura's boys call it, because it is the Italians themselves who, putting aside every kind of prejudice, take to the field with the Albanian flag on their shirts representing the Albanian community that lives in Novara. The winners will receive a withdrawal with the entire Novara Calcio team in Morgex.
"It is an honor for us to represent the Albanian community in this event that better than any other enhances the unitary and engaging spirit that has always characterized sport" - states Benedetto Scarpinato, one of the Italian boys who is part of the team.
"It's about educating through sport: the best victory was playing together and fighting for a single common goal: integration" - retorted Enea Canaj and Fatmir Kapllanaj, members of the Ura Association.
And that's right! The boys of Ura have once again made us proud to belong to this community that over the years has managed to insert itself splendidly into the life of Novara and gain the respect of all the people of Novara.
Thanking the boys for the excellent show they offered us during the games, we wish all the volunteers of the Ura Association for future projects a good job.
