The Croatian Josip Kuze is officially the new coach of the Kombëtarja. The 56-nne was preferred to Ilija Lonçareviç, and its name seems to have been suggested by the former Otto Bariç.
By next week Kuze is expected in Tirana to carry out the first meeting with the team, in view of the meeting against Portugal that will take place on June 6 in Tirana.
The Federation is Kuze have reached an agreement on a one-year contract, which can be extended depending on the results. Although Albania is now cut off from qualifying, it will be the game shown in the last three games to decide Kuze's fate. The extension of the contract for another year and a half is therefore connected only to the results of the Konbetarja.
Unlike his predecessors like Dossena, Briegel, Baric in Haan, the Croatian will be the first technical commissioner to move to Albania to be always present and close to the national team.
The next matches of the Kombëtarja will be those with Portugal, Denmark and Sweden valid for qualifying and friendly matches with Georgia, Cyprus and Scotland.
During his career Kuze directed the Dinamo Zagreb with which he also came to the title, and has a brief experience with the national team of Rwanda.
