Lazio bought Thoma Strakosha, Panionios' young Albanian goalkeeper. The negotiation was tough, as reported by the Corriere dello Sport: the duel was with Sabatini's Rome that in December had been one step away from bringing the goalkeeper to Roma. But Lazio had a bonus on his side, Igli Tare, manager of Lazio and also friend of the player's father, the legendary goalkeeper of the Albanian national team, Foto Strakosha.
Thoma Strakosha was born in Albania in March 19 1995, has just turned 17 years and plays in the Panionos youth teams. He is currently playing the European Elite with the National Under 17 and next season will become the 1 number among the posts of biancoceleste spring. A great future lies ahead for him, genes don't lie. Son of the legendary Foto Strakosha, who defended the door of the Albanian national team for well 15 years (from the 1990 to the 2005), currently coach of the Apoel goalkeepers, ended his career as a goalkeeper in Panionios, the team for which now Thomas plays too.
