The Albanian defense minister Olta Xhaçka, who manages the civil protection's Directorate General, went to Korçë today to observe closely the situation of citizens welcomed in the tent city due to the earthquake of the night between Friday and Saturday.
The minister personally visited the conditions of the tent city set up by the armed forces to host the displaced people of the village of Floq and stated that all the houses heavily damaged by the earthquake will be rebuilt, while there will be compensation for the families of the slightly damaged houses.
The Korçë civil protection has announced that in the district there are a total of 180 damaged houses, the 60% of which has remained uninhabited. For this reason, around 230 citizens have been temporarily placed in the tent city set up by the Albanian army. In addition to water and food supplies, a first aid center was also installed in the reception center

Xhaçka, also, at the meeting of the civil protection headquarters asking local institutions for adequate coordination to help residents.
"I consider it a great misfortune what happened. I thank the volunteers and the state structures for their commitment in these humanitarian operations. Every present lack will be filled day after day. " - said the minister.
Also Prime Minister Edi Rama wanted to underline with a Facebook post that all the houses damaged by repeated earthquakes will be rebuilt and that there will be compensation for families:
"Yesterday, in the villages of Floq and Qafezeze in the Korçë district, with the citizens affected by the earthquake that hit the area and the heads of the local central institutions. After the damage inventory, the compensation and reconstruction process will begin very soon for all families affected by this natural misfortune. " - reads the premier's post.
