The meeting between the two Presidents took place during the morning and served to consolidate the excellent relations already existing between Italy and Albania.

President Meta said he was happy to be in Rome and confirmed that Italy represents Albania's first and irreplaceable partner in all areas of daily life.

Ilir Meta: Italy privileged partner of Albania
Even the President Meta spent words of recognition and gratitude towards Italy, stating: "I want to thank Italy for the support it is giving us on our journey towards the European Union. We are committed to the necessary reforms and we hope that negotiations for our entry can soon be opened. We know we have a fundamental partner in Italy and a common interest in stability and security ".
