The Tirana Court ordered the conservative seizure of some current accounts at the Credins bank as well as the ARMO, owned by Rezart Taçi. The seizure was ordered after a request from the National Bank of Azerbaijan. According to the prosecution, in November 2008 the bank had made available to Taçi the sum of 75 million, to guarantee the purchase of ARMO. This sum, therefore, had to remain blocked by the Credins bank, which, however, would have given it to the entrepreneur for the purchase of ARMO. After years of attempts to obtain payment, the Bank of Azerbaijan turned to the Court of Tirana and then to the judge Ilir Celiku who ordered the seizure.
The sequestration, for merely conservative purposes, refers to the 85% of the ARMO shares, as well as to other real estate properties and related current accounts, within the limits of the value of 75 million, even if the request of the Azerbaijani Bank is of 115 million euros, thus also calculating interest and loss of earnings. Taçi has not yet released any official statements. Read the integral ordinance (in Albanian language)
