From the 14 to the 21 August 2012 aKorça will be held International Student Convention (ISCiK).
The festival, which aims at developing and strengthening international cooperation, intends to create an intercultural network aimed at students to encourage them to exchange ideas and foster mutual understanding on a global level. Open to all (undergraduates, Masters and PhD students), it will focus on the theme "Borders and Places, Bounds and People", with which we want to build alliances and break down the borders between young people, in particular discrimination, social exclusion and racism.
In the name of these principles, of course, ISCiK it does not include personal or geographical limits and various thematic areas will be focused on 5. The participants, in fact, will be able to choose one of the following workshops: Human rights disputes: gender, minorities and religion; Local and central: the traditional policies in the nation-state before and after communism; Corporate social responsibility; Challenges and citizens in the media; Visual and audio arts.
Conferences are planned on these topics as well as practical activities and open discussions that will directly involve the participants in an atmosphere of collaboration and discovery of the various backgrounds of origin. The laboratories will see the presence of numerous experts in the sector, specialists and university professors; among these: Akan Ajdini (Tirana Business Center Manager, ProCredit Bank Albania); Eni Pope (University of Tirana), Marjola Ruka (University of Berlin); Cecilie Endresen (University of Oslo); Inis Shkreli (Babes Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca); Eliano Kalemi (photographer); Jozita Shkreli (artist).
The multidisciplinary festival is organized byAction Center for the Survey of Cultural Dynamics and Cultural Interactions of Tirana, and also includes a visit to the city of Pogradec.
