Bulletin of March 23 in Albania. The number of people infected with coronavirus in Albania has reached 104. In the last 24 hours, another 15 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
In daily communication to the public, the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu confirmed that the map of cities affected by coronavirus has been expanded and called on citizens to comply with social distance measures.
“In the last 24 hours alone, 15 new positive cases have been confirmed, in 45 tests performed. The map of people affected by COVID-19 also extends to Shkoder and cases increase in Tirana and Durres. In addition, the epidemiological investigation is taking place in other affected cities such as Lushnja, Kavaja, Fier, Rrogozhina, where epidemiologists work continuously to trace positive contacts to be able to interrupt the transmission chain of infection. The good news today is that 2 more patients have left the infectious disease hospital, bringing the number of people who have recovered to 5, "said Manastirliu.
The head of the infectious disease prevention and control department, Silva Bino, gave detailed information on the situation of COVID-19 in Albania. There have been 2 deaths in the last 24 hours: a 71 year old with concomitant diseases and a 43 year old with obesity but without other signs of disease. The total number of citizens who have lost their lives since COVID-19 is 4.
Five hospitalized patients no longer need treatment as they are negative for both COVID-19 tests.
So far they have been tested 856 suspected cases of which they are 104 cases of contagion with Covid-19

Currently 49 patients are hospitalized in the infectious disease hospital. 3 of them are in intensive care. While the rest of the patients are in stable conditions so far.
