Thanks to a call from the Italian and Albanian Ministries of Labor, all Albanian citizens who intend to work in Italy regularly can now submit their application. This initiative was presented last March 27 in Tirana in a joint press conference between the labor ministries of the two countries.By contacting the Migration Desks in the regional Employment Offices, it is possible to register your profile in the availability lists, according to the modalities envisaged by the announcement (available on the website of the Albanian Ministry of Labor:). Furthermore, to manage migratory flows in an effective and coordinated way and facilitate cooperation, the Italian Ministry of Labor and Social Policies has established the Local Coordination Office (UCL) in Albania. The UCL, in synergy with the Italian Diplomatic Representation and the Ministry of Labor Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and with the technical support of the International Organization for Migration, was created to facilitate the exchange and transfer of methodologies and tools between services for work in Italy and in Albania. The encounter between demand and supply of labor between the two States is thus favored, also through the management of ad hoc availability lists that provide precise information about the skills and professionalism available among the Albanian workers, the public and private operators operating in the the Italian and Albanian labor market, then, thanks to this service receive an important aid in their search for personnel.
The initiative, which is part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries 19 Luglio 2011, aims to facilitate the regular entry of Albanian citizens who intend to work in Italy and to support the system of businesses and families in finding professionalism qualified.
The union between the Ministries, in accordance with the article 23 of the Italian law on migration, has also allowed to launch for the first time an interesting pilot project that provides free courses of linguistic and professional training for 255 people; at the end of these courses it is hoped a job placement in Italy in different employment sectors for at least half of the participants.
