Meeting at the University of Florence with the Albanian Ex-President Bamir Topi
The Interdepartmental Center for Strategic, International and Entrepreneurial Studies (CSSII), sponsored by the Faculty of Political Sciences "Cesare Alfieri" and the Department of Political and Social Studies, organized a meeting in Florence on the theme "Albania and Europe: five years after Kosovo's independence ".

E. Bukurije Gjonbalaj, Prof. Luciano Bozzo (University of Florence). The meeting was chaired by Prof. Umberto Gori, professor emeritus at the University of Florence. During his speech Bamir Topi, Ex - President of Albania, now leader of the FRD party, wanted to highlight the heroic values of the ÇK (Kosovo Liberation Army), the wisdom of the Kosovar leaders, and also the fundamental role of NATO and the United States, in helping and supporting the process of independence of Kosovo. Concerning the theme represented, Bamir Topi exchanged opinions and gave answers to the questions posed by the university students present. On the occasion, the official Florence branch of the FRD party was also created, appointing Urim Qinami as coordinator of this office. During the meeting with his compatriots, Topi thanked the Albanians for their contribution to the Albanian economic development. As leader of the new party, Topi stressed that he will mobilize with all his strength and possibilities, in the creation of a Ministry for Immigration, to deal with the problems of immigrants.
