Ambassador Alberto Cutillo participated today in the event "Italian High Technology and Equipment for the Albanian Agricultural Industry", organized by the ICE Agency and Federunacoma (National Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers) and promoted by the Italian Embassy and by the Ministry for Economic Development.
The initiative constitutes the second follow up to the system mission after the recent workshop dedicated by the Italian Energy System, and aims to strengthen collaboration between Italy and Albania in the agricultural mechanization sector, in particular in the context of the Albanian participation in the IPARD Program II with which the European Union provides the States aspiring to become Members of the Union technical and financial assistance to bring the agricultural and rural development sectors closer to European standards.
Also present at the event were Director of ICE Agency of Tirana Elisa Scelsa, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Roland Kristo, Director General of the Agency for Agriculture and Rural Development (AZHBR) Frida Krifca , in addition to the business delegations and representatives of the competent administrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia, invited to share the experiences of the respective countries in the management of the agricultural mechanization process during a seminar at the hotel Trana International.
The works also include numerous B2B meetings, which will be attended by 12 Italian companies active in different segments of the agricultural mechanization sector, and will continue tomorrow with the visit of participants to some local agricultural enterprises in order to understand the current status of the mechanization and the possible needs to which the Italian industry can respond.
Ambassador Cutillo, in recalling that agricultural mechanization is one of the leading expressions of the Italian productive fabric, underlined how Italian companies can offer a quality contribution in the development of the mechanization of the agricultural industry not only in Albania but also in the internal to the whole Western Balkans Region of which Italy is a natural partner.
