The small Alvin, the child of 11 years of which the Italian television program 'Le Iene, took care of, was taken out of the' Al-Hol 'refugee camp in Syria
The boy was freed from the camp of Al Hol and in these hours - thanks to the humanitarian corridor carried out by the Red Cross with the Red Crescent (the Arab counterpart) and to an operation of international cooperation under the direction of the police direction, directed by the prefect Vittorio Rizzi, with the Ros and the participation of the Albanian authorities - Alvin is about to be taken from the border between Syria and Lebanon. In the next few hours the boy will board the flight that will take him from Rome to Beirut, Lebanon.
In the 2014 the radicalized mother had taken Alvin and brought him from Italy to the territories controlled by ISIS. Since then his father, Beisha, no longer sees his son.
Three months ago, the turning point: the International Red Cross sends his father a letter from Alvin asking him to bring it home. With the help of the Kurdish authorities, the journalistic troupe of Luigi Pelazza together with his father manages to enter the camp, where the sons and wives of the ISIS militiamen also live.
After a very long wait, father and son are finally reunited. Now the problem is understanding how to bring Alvin back to Italy. His family, through a Press release transmitted to the Albanian newspapers days ago, he expressed confidence in the work of the authorities.
"DI would like to share with everyone a concern about the refugee camp in Syria; from the Hygiene service one senses that the whole issue of the underage boy simply depends on the will of our embassy in Turkey or the ambassador, but it is not the truth.
The truth is that for some time I have issued an order, which we cannot share with those who have ties to the people, families and individuals who are in that territory, due to the involvement of men in another working war ISIS.
I also communicated with the father of the child explaining that it is not a question that depends on us and on our diplomatic structures, since it is not a classic refugee camp "- the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama had declared on the subject last 19 October.
La Repubblica: Alvin returns to Italy
The 11-year-old Albanian will arrive from Beirut to Rome thanks to the humanitarian corridor carried out by the Red Cross with the Red Crescent and born of the synergy of the International Police Cooperation Service, in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidency of the Council
