The growth in the flow of passengers during the month of June was matched by the growth in the number of delays and canceled flights from the international airport "Mother Teresa" of Rinas.
For this reason, the Civil Aviation Authority has urged all those who plan to travel during this period to monitor the official sources of the airports for any delays or canceled flights, given that due to the great flow throughout Europe, they are planned various problems.
The data of the Civil Aviation Authority
Observing the monthly report of the Civil Aviation Authority we note that, during the month of June, the airline "Adria Airways" was the one to register the highest number of canceled flights (four in total), followed by " Blue Panorama ”with two.
The latter, however, "dominates" in the number of delays with a total of eleven, ahead of "Fly Ernest" with five and "Albawings" with three.
Nevertheless, according to the report of the Civil Aviation Authority, the number of reimbursements to passengers due to delays remained virtually identical in June. A situation that is explained by the long duration of the reimbursement procedures (more than three weeks) and that in this case, consequently, refers to the reimbursements for delays in May.
According to the legislation in force, for each delay of more than two hours passengers must complete the complaint form within three weeks and must be compensated with approximately 250 euros.
The air transport market in Albania
Blue Panorama continues to be the main company operating in the Country of Eagles, given that in the month it held the 19% of total flights. Behind it Ernest Airlines, with 18% of total flights, and Albawings with 9% of total flights.
Italy, on the other hand, continues to hold the highest percentage in the Albanian air transport market (51% of the total in May); more detached the other countries that follow, Turkey (with the 8% of the total), Austria (7% of the total).
