Il President of the Albanian Parliament, Gramoz Ruçi, made statements to journalists yesterday on the occasion of day dedicated to Europe. In his statements, Ruçi also addressed the topic of skepticism of the Netherlands for the opening of official Albanian negotiations on optics European Union.
"The whole country cannot be stained for some Albanian criminals in the Netherlands. Prostitution and drugs were not invented by the Albanians but were found in Europe; cannabis is a black spot for Albania, but its cannabis seeds and technology come from the Netherlands mainly because they are also the main sales market."- said the head of parliament.
Furthermore, Gramoz Ruçi said he disagreed with what was said by the Dutch leaders:
"I don't completely agree with what they said. We have made our choice, namely to bring down the communist regime. If Albania is defined for some criminals, I say openly that we are not them. The Albanian people living in the countries of the European Union are contributors.
At the Eurovision Song Festival 2018 there are three Albanian artists, not Dutch" - continued Ruçi, who subsequently also commented on the question concerning Saimir Tahiri:
"In 27 years that I am in parliament, there have been many accusations for many other deputies, both left and right from the 1991 to today, starting with me. No one has ever left his office, it is the first case and for this he must be well accepted and valued.
Here I would mention Churchill, who said that politics has no morals, but within immorality there is a morality and in this case Tahiri's resignation shows that this morality remains in the immorality of politics. "
In conclusion, Ruçi commented on the incident with the communist party sympathizers at the martyrs' cemetery on 5 Maggio, as well as the bill proposed by Lulzim Basha to stop the symbols of communism:
"I wanted to greet all the political forces that the 5 may have commemorated the martyrs. In no way can that commemorative day be ruined, not even by that bad deed that happened to me that day. If there is any legal void in this sense to be 'filled', the opposition party can take any initiative in good time. "- concluded Ruçi.
