“Those who have returned from Italy or other affected areas in the past 14 days should quarantine themselves. From today, the state police and the military police will take to the streets organizing checkpoints to check if there are people in the stopped vehicles who have entered Albania in the last 14 days.
For them it is forbidden to leave the house but they should close themselves in quarantine. Anyone of these people caught on the street tomorrow will be fined € 5.000. And it will be forbidden to leave the country before paying this fine. "
But some diehards have continued to move freely, not respecting the quarantine requirement.
As reported byAlbanian broadcaster TV ReportToday, March 17, the police carried out checks on three people a Dibër, Durres e Pogradecwho, although coming from coronavirus-affected areas, had not been quarantined at home but went around freely. A fine of € 5000 was imposed on everyone.

More curious is the case of a young man from Pogradec, too returned from Italy. Not only did he not respect the quarantine order but he also made use of the vehicle thus violating both restrictive measures.
In addition, three other drivers were punished with the license suspension for three years for driving without being in possession of a necessary authorization, foreseen in this emergency situation.
The owner of a bar, on the other hand, was fined around 16 thousand euros as he continued to keep the business open in violation of government measures.
