At the first cabinet meeting after the discovery of the two cases of coronavirus infection, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the suspension until April 3 of flights and ferries from northern Italy, or the "red zone" most affected by the infection, the suspension of educational activities with the closure of all schools for 2 weeks and the suspension of cultural, sporting activities, concerts and mass public hearings.
The Civil Aviation Authority immediately implemented the government order by banning flights from Mother Teresa airport to 10 Italian airports.
Flights to and from Italy at the following airports will be canceled;
