Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced a new easing of measures. Starting from Monday 11 May, with the exception of 6 municipalities, Tirana, Durres, Shkoder, Kurbin, Kruja and Fier, the rest of the country will be considered a green area.
In the 6 municipalities that will make an exception, that is, considered to be red areas, the same times and traffic rules will remain in force as before, and the red areas will be divided from the green areas by checkpoints that will control the traffic, prohibiting the entry and exit of unauthorized vehicles from one area to another.
In green areas (which are most of the country and there are no cases of contagion), there will be the possibility of using private vehicles and the exit time will be extended until 21.00 pm, unlike the current one which is until 17 pm : 30. For green areas, only the rules that prohibit the gathering of over five people, cultural and sporting activities of any kind, public transport and some economic activities that will remain closed will remain in force.
This weekend the same rules as in the past will apply as last weekend; only vehicles with work authorization will circulate, and you can go out for walks in two bands: until 09.30 only retirees will leave, and from 10.30 to 17.30 parents with children up to 14 years.
"If the curve remains stable, this will be the last weekend with a curfew for girls and boys over 14" promised Rama.
In addition, in a meeting with the experts that took place yesterday, Rama announced that flights and ground travel will also resume from 18 May. The travels had been suspended on March 15 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
From May 18, bars and restaurants will also open two months of closure due to COVID-19.
Today, the rules that must be respected by these exercises have been published on the e-Albania portal, where you will use gloves and masks.
