Saturday, for more than 4 hours, the "Rruga e kombit - Via della Nazione " has become a battlefield due to the clashes occurred between the police and the inhabitants of the cities of Kukës, Has and Tropoja, who protested for the implementation of the toll fee (a minimum of 5 euros) in the border section between Albania and Kosovo.
Both parties were injured, and one of the toll booths for this toll was destroyed; for this reason, Edi Rama in the press conference announced in the late afternoon on Saturday he had announced and assured that these 'vandalism' would be punished in an exemplary manner.
All this while the opposition party, the Democratic party, in the words of its leader Lulzim Basha called for the Kukës police to head back. This did not happen, indeed, during the night between Saturday and Sunday the police started the waltz of the arrests announced.

The arrests of protesters in the night
"Whoever dared to attack the police, on both sides of the border, will not escape the law" - said Edi Rama on Saturday in a press conference.
The police special forces (RENEA at FNSH), in fact, at around three o'clock the night between Saturday and Sunday entered the city of Kukës arresting many people on charges of being the main culprits - as defined by the same Rama - of the clashes of Saturday.
There are no official figures on the total number of arrests, what is certain is that the special police forces entered the apartments 'by force' to complete the arrests. Meanwhile, the relatives of the arrested gathered yesterday morning in front of the police station in Kukës, unaware of where their loved ones were taken:
"The police entered our apartment at 03: 00 in the morning. They didn't let us know anything, we don't know where the arrested were taken "
