A news report about the threat of a terrorist attack in Italy and the involvement of two Albanian citizens has circulated today on several Italian newspapers (to then be reported also by the Albanian media).
According to Italian media reports, the two Albanian citizens - Bujar Hysa and Bardhyl Hoxha - are wanted because they are preparing a terrorist attack. In addition, in the articles further details are reported according to which the execution modalities of the attack would be similar to that of the attack on the Bataclan, where the 13 November 2015 lost the life 138 people.
The Albanian counterpart clarifies
However, sources in the anti-terrorist unit of the Albanian police told Shqiptarja.com that for more than three years Bujar Hysa has been in a maximum security prison (where he will have to serve a sentence of 18 years) and not to have received information on the case by the Italian partners, who otherwise would have been informed about the real situation.
Hysa was arrested three years ago because, along with a group of imams, he recruited believers to fight in Syria.
Hoxha: I live in France with my family
Ora News has managed to contact Bardhyl Hoxha, the other Albanian citizen who, according to Italian media, would be wanted for terrorism. Hoxha denied being connected to terrorism by explaining his past and present life:
"I have nothing to do with terrorism. It is a falsehood. From 18 years I live in France with all my children. I have no problem here and have never been associated with terrorism.
In the past, I had problems in Italy. For this I went to France but then I was extradited and sent back to Italy where I spent 3 months in prison. I went to trial and I came out clean."- reported Hoxha for Ora News.
The 46enne also denied having ties and getting to know Bujar Hysa stating "this is the first time I hear this name".
