The 24 May in Monteferrato was carried out an initiative in the Cortile di Santa Croce. It was an Albanian party inserted in OyOyOy! International festival of Jewish culture that wanted to emphasize the importance of creating bridges between different cultures.
It was recalled that Albania was a "right country", where no Jew was killed or deported between the 1943 and the 1945. During the festival, an olive tree was symbolically planted as the "tree of the righteous" dedicated to Albania. The honorary Consul of Albania in Piedmont, Giovanni Firera and other illustrious guests attended the party. A confrontation on Albania as a "right country" was held between the historian and regional councilor for culture Giovanni Oliva and the well-known Albanian commentator Mustafa Nano, moderated by Andrea Riscassi, RAI journalist and promoter of the only Italian Garden of the Righteous in Milan . All this followed with a buffet with typical Albanian tastings for all those present. The evening continued with Fanfara Tirana, the Albanian group of ethnic music best known in the world.
