Oh no, Dash is back! Dashnor literally translated into Italian would mean “Lover". In our case it is the name of an Albanian parliamentarian, Dashnor Sula, a lover of football but not only. Making a mix between Italian and Albanian, a "Lover Sula". On? What would you wonder about?Well, to many Albanians the politician would really be on things that are not pleasant to mention. In fact, this time it has really hit bottom. According to many eyewitnesses present in the soccer game of the Albanian Superliga Shkumbini-Flamurtari, the parliamentarian would have even turned into John Wayne, he would have pulled out a gun and shot to intimidate the players of the Valona team. The match was eventually won by his Shkumbin, the team of the city of Peqin, in central Albania, represented in the parliament by the Democratic Party deputy, who more than one law-maker would appear to be a law-breaker or an outlaw, just for cite some legal concepts since it would be nothing less, but an ex-pm. But according to semantics, the diminutive of his name, Dash, translated into Italian would mean "Ram". But more than a ram, his aggressive behavior would resemble that of a Grizzly bear. In fact, several times the representative of the people has been reported in various episodes of violence related to football. In one case it was picked up by the Top Channel cameras as it bypassed the fence like a baboon, to enter the field and do first-person justice, just that he should know something about justice ... In another case in the 2008, the newspaper Sporti Shqiptar sportsman made it known that the politician followed for several kilometers in the car as in a Hollywood movie a footballer of a rival team to beat him, as he had offended him. He, the ram, or the boyfriend if you prefer, poor guy this time defended himself by saying that there is nothing true, but he has really combined so many that this time it is really very difficult to believe him. However, everything will be clarified by the Prosecutor of Elbasan, which has opened an investigation into the case, even if in our country the impunity of the political elite is a guarantee of equal level to death for natural causes. Opposition leader Edi Rama also accused culture minister Aldo Bumçi of having been present at the stadium, and of defending the criminal act of Sula. The minister for his part denied everything, calling Rama a swindler and announcing that the day of the match was in Tirana, and not in Peqin. From the report of the delegate of the Albanian football federation it emerges that Sula would have fired in the bathroom of the dressing room of the Flamurtari, and later he would have sent someone to leave a fake gun on the "crime scene". It is therefore a matter of accusations and counter-accusations, of those that we see every day in Albanian politics, and that are soon forgotten. Judging from the photo that we show you in this article, we can clearly see a deep smile even of the president of the Albanian football federation, Armando Duka, as if to demonstrate that he is enjoying himself in front of the Dash uprisings.
Our whole case has its roots in a problem as simple as it is also serious. The parliamentarian who earns a salary on about 1.500 euros a month, would be the main financier of the Shkumbin team, it is not known with what funds, and where they come from. He is not a de jure financier, but this has not prevented various players on his team from publicly thanking him for the prizes he has given him for various victories. All this is in full violation of the Albanian Constitution, which does not allow parliamentarians to carry out any other public or private office, except for those provided for by law. For the same reasons, Ilir Beqja, a member of the Socialist Party, lost his mandate a few months ago. Therefore it is not clear why the same thing did not happen also for the "Lover"-Pistolero. The situation has lasted for more than five years, and in any case it is also the fault of the various institutions, such as the opposition, the police, or the Attorney General who have never moved to take the appropriate measures. The socio-political context in which a fact that would be unimaginable in any EU member country is to be analyzed. In a small country like Albania, where everyone knows everyone a bit and where family relationships and ties with the klan (fisi) are still of a strong cultural imprint, the Peqin police denied everything, played down it, sided in favor of the politician to legitimize this thesis. A Peqin Dash is a kind of bajraktar, and so it pays to be his friends rather than enemies. The head of his party, Sali Berisha, will surely think the same thing as well, who has never given him a tug of ear for the acts of Sula's hooligan, also because he has recently reconverted him as his loyalist to the PD, after a certain temptation to Dash to move to the side of the party of Bamir Topi, Berisha's new political rival. And therefore one less Dash, would mean fewer votes for the PD in Peqin. Imagine Berlusconi fighting for his Milan, to enter the field or shoot against Moratti and the referees. Imagine the former Spanish prime minister Aznar financing Real Madrid, at the time he was running the Spanish government. Well, unfortunately this is not a simple fantasy in Albania. Until the next episode of Dash-show, which may God or chance protect Albanians from criminals established in parliament (kolltukofagët), who go around armed to do justice like in the Far-West.
