Prime Minister Edi Rama broke the news today that flights to repatriate Albanians who remained abroad will start on Monday. Travel expenses will not be borne by citizens.
The head of government in a Facebook communication from his office said that the flights will be carried out by the "Lasgushi" aircraft of Air Albania and that Minister Belinda Balluku is currently working to obtain the necessary permits.
The statements of Rama
“We bend over backwards for you every day and every night, so that nobody is left alone. Not even one! From families and people in need of food, health, mobility and so on, to those who cannot return home because several countries on the continent have been stuck. To tell the truth, many of them expressed their desire to return as soon as possible, paying for the trip out of their own pocket.
We will leave and I think this is good news, already on Monday with the flights to take them home. Tomorrow we will publish the calendar of return missions and the relative points where the people already listed will embark.
These missions will be carried out for free at no cost to citizens and it will be up to the "Lasgushi" aircraft to bring our people home. Air Albania is the company of the black red flag in this great national disaster, I asked her to take on the burden of being the home of the Albanians in the skies of Europe, and not to ask for money to carry out these humanitarian missions.
I am happy with the immediate availability of the company and in the meantime the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy has worked all this time and is working to obtain special permits for these charter flights. " hsaid Rama

- Humanitarian cases
