Another person lost his life in Albania due to coronavirus, thus bringing the total number to 5 victims. The 49-year-old man from Tirana died this morning while at the infectious disease hospital in Tirana.
Despite the efforts of the medical team, the 49-year-old failed to survive. The victim suffered from diabetes mellitus and had been in intensive care for 10 days.
Double the number of people healed with a total of ten. These patients tested negative after two scheduled tests. They now receive home medical treatment where they will have to remain in solitary confinement for 14 days.
Eugena Tomini of the Institute of Public Health stated that in the last 24 hours 19 new cases of COVID-19 have emerged confirmed after 74 tests performed on suspect cases, bringing the total to 123 infected.
In total to date, 930 tests have been performed on people suspected of being infected by Covid-19
