Following the results achieved during the 2010, the European Fund for Repatriations through the Ministry of the Interior, decided to refinance the Odisseo project, carried out by the Association Virtus Italia Onlus and the Ong International Engim.
The project, which started last July 1 and will end on 30 June 2012, aims to favor the Voluntary Assisted Repatriation (Rva) of Albanian citizens and sees this year the widening of the age group of recipients: young people in fact, they will be able to have 18 to 34 years.
The heart of the project remains, therefore, the re-accompaniment in Albania of former non-camped minors and young adults present on the Italian territory. Moreover, the positive experience of synergistic work with the Vicenza and Treviso district houses, has led to widen the target audience also to ex-prisoners: who, through individual training and work paths, will be able to activate their own social reintegration in their homeland.Virtus Italy and International Engim will support young people in their reintegration into the community of origin, offering them the organization of the return journey and various opportunities, including vocational training, socio-work placement or support for individual and / or family businesses. For each participant who joins the repatriation program, the promoters will activate economic incentives to cover the expenses. The first aim of the project is to repatriate the young accompanying them on a path of growth that will lead them to acquire a stable and consolidated socio-working position.
