Among the topics addressed, in addition to emigration, are economic, social and cultural cooperation. Gualmini: "We make our skills available to the country on integration policies"
These are the themes at the center of the meeting that took place today in the Region between the vice-president with delegation to international cooperation and immigration, Elisabetta Gualmini, and the Albanian delegation, visiting these days in Emilia-Romagna, led by ministers to the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, and to public education, sport and youth, Lindita Nikolla.
The current Albanian government is implementing a series of structural reforms to allow Albania's accession to the European Union.
In this path, one of the main strands is the structuring of the relationship with emigration, starting fromItaly which is Albania's first partner in Europe and the Country that hosts the largest Albanian community that lives and works outside national borders.
A theme addressed yesterday, during the meeting in Viale Aldo Moro, also by the project manager "The involvement of the Albanian diaspora in the social and economic development of the country" headed by the international organization for migration (IOM), the main intergovernmental organization in the field of migration.
"A meeting with which we took stock of the commercial, economic and cultural relations between the two countries, and we also talked about emigration- said the vice president Gualmini.
The representatives of the Albanian Government underlined that Emilia-Romagna represents for them a model of social, economic and cultural integration with respect to foreign citizens. A fundamental point in the relationship with Albania is the issue of unaccompanied foreign minors who are taken in charge in our region by the reception system. We are looking together - added Gualmini - the best way to solve this delicate situation ".
