Today in Bologna, at the open meeting of the Albanian community with Maurizio Martina, people from Parma, Florence, Pistoia, Rome, Venice, Bologna and Mantua took part.
The meeting was an opportunity to address to the candidate for the secretariat of the Democratic Party, Maurizio Martina, concrete requests regarding problems and needs of the Albanian community in Italy, to be brought to the center of attention of Italian politics.
"For us, those born and studied in Italy are Italian. Point. Rights and duties apply to all old and new Italians. The integration of the Albanian community in Italy is an experience that is a reference for the most recent migrations. There are good practices of citizenship of the Albanians in Italy to share, promote and support ".
These are some ideas for Maurizio Martina's speech during the meeting. Many reflections and proposals of those present, belonging to different generations and to different components of the social fabric of the Albanian diaspora. Not just immigration and integration policies.
The second generations (120 thousand students are studying in Italian schools), Albanian companies (32mila), young people (10 thousand university students) and more have been placed at the center of reflection.
Maurizio Martina proposed to structure a permanent comparison to build together the migration, integration and citizenship policies of the PD.
The meeting was also attended by Sen. Tommaso Nannicini, who spoke to those present about theamendment presented by him in the Senate for the conclusion of a bilateral agreement between Italy and Albania on pensions.
