At 17: 45 the event will open with a debate on contemporary Albania and on the links broken by history, together with two exceptional guests: the writer Anilda Ibrahimi , born in Vlora in the 1972 and immigrated to Italy in the 1997, and the RAI journalist Antonio Caiazza , one of the greatest experts of Albania in our country, author of [amazon link = "8865943106 ″ /] , for Nutrimenti, 2014.
The writer Ibrahimi will present her latest book, just released by Einaudi, [amazon link = "B06XX5RCD6 ″ /] . Leading the debate, Alessandra Gabelli, curator of the Pordenone cultural exhibition "The creative dialogue".
To follow, the concert of the orchestra of the Scutari sheet music , directed by Bardh Jakova, a formation whose members, about twenty musicians, come from a traditional Albanian music workshop.
This synergy between laboratory and orchestra allows for the exchange of people or the addition of new elements. The repertoire is very varied and consists of both traditional pieces and original, instrumental and choral pieces. This year the orchestra celebrates its 10 years of activity. He has held numerous concerts in Italy and abroad, also making a CD, a travel documentary in the Balkans, a report on "Sky TV", In collaboration with the "Tirana Opera and Ballet Theater".
Foreign nationals regularly present in Friuli Venezia Giulia more than 105mila, 8,6% of the resident population. The second most numerous nationality, after the Romanian nationality, is the Albanian, with 10.660 people, based on the Istat data of the 2016, to which however the numbers of the many citizens of Albanian origin with Italian nationality escape.
The event stems from the collaboration between the Italo-Albanian association Insieme, as part of the "Dialogando" project and the "Creative dialogue" exhibition, and is carried out thanks to the contribution of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, for which Vincenzo Martines will be present , president of the V Regional Culture Commission.
The photographic exhibition will also be set up "Albania: a long snapshot of 105 years", with historical and contemporary shots. Admission is free while seats last.
The celebrations will end with a tasting of typical products only by reservation at the Rozafa restaurant in Via Pozzuolo, the first Albanian restaurant in Italy.
