Traditional music, folk dances, typical dishes and a great desire to be together, the ingredients of the festival that the Juvenilja Association organizes on Sunday 29 November, from 16.30 to 20.30, in the rooms of the Vecchia Stazione in Forlì, on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of Independence Albanian.
The show with poems, songs and folk dances was prepared in collaboration with the musician Gëzim Varfi and the Association "Integriamoci Insieme" of Cervia. Moreover the images, the videos and the rich buffet with typical dishes will make you experience a traditionally Albanian atmosphere.
The Independence of Albania was proclaimed in Vlora, the 28 November 1912, during the First Balkan War, by more than 50 delegates who represented all the territories most inhabited by Albanians. Independence and international recognition, sanctioned by the Conference of Ambassadors of London, the following year, resulted from the commitment of a small group of patriots and the politics of the balance of nineteenth-century power among the European chancelleries of the time.
Formally established last September, Juvenilja has been active since January 2009 and has organized various activities. The Municipality of Forlì was promoter of the association. Juvenilja wants to be a place of meeting and mutual exchange, an opportunity for reflection and practice of the positive values of Albanianity, a democratic community where the willingness to show solidarity is experienced.
