After the success of the past editions, the "Annalena Tonelli" Peace Center in Forlì also organized the People's Day this year in collaboration with the associations that are members of it and the migrant communities of Forlì.
The Program included meetings, food stands and musical shows to get closer to the peculiarities of other cultures, of which, surely, music and folk dances are a universal language that has always united different peoples.
The evening dedicated to Albania had a deserved success, thanks also to the boys and girls of the Juvenilja association who committed themselves and made possible the encounter with the Albanian culture through the music proposed by the "Scores for Scutari Orkestra ”, The dances danced by the public itself, the images and the typical dishes.
During the evening, Juvenilja members promoted their future goals and activities. Juvenilja is an association made up of young Albanians, students and others, promoted by the municipality of Forlì, within the cooperation initiatives with Albania. One of its main objectives is to widen its scope of action in both countries, so that the relationships between those who are resident abroad and those in Albania who are committed to improving the Albanian reality are consolidated and enhanced.
Juvenilja wants to be a meeting place for these resources, an opportunity for reflection and practice of the values of albanism, a democratic community in which solidarity is experienced and the abilities of each are valued for the common good.
Despite being a recently active association, Juvenilja organized several successful cultural and literary promotion events, including the Summer Festival held on 14 last March, a meeting - debate with Fatos Lubonja, Albanian writer and intellectual. In the future high initiatives are planned, the first of which will take place in October: a guided tour of the Fornò Sanctuary, built by Bianco da Durazzo, presumably the first Albanian in the Forlì area.
