The project Italian shelf consists of collecting new books from publishing houses, libraries, individuals and institutions in Italy, and donating them to Italian public and university libraries. A simple project that sees Albanianews as the main media partner.Despite the holidays, the holidays and the heat, the project continues Italian shelf by RAT (Albanian network in Tuscany) and AGORA. The project started with a first delivery of 250 books to the Valona public library in February. The second stage was Fier, always in the southern constituency and with the constant support of the Italian consulate in Vlore. This second stage of the project takes on particular significance as part of the 100 books donated to the Fier public library have been given away by our responsible director Franco Tagliarini. Another important part comes instead from the publishing house Infinito Edizioni, which has donated to the project over 200 books, which will go to many other Albanian libraries. For the occasionas a public ceremony was held in the environments of the Fier public library, attended by the Italian vice-consul in Vlore, Claudia Giacchetti, the president of RAT Ismail Ademi, the coordinator of the Albanian library network Arben Jaupaj, the director of the library Anila Brakaj and the director of culture of the municipality of Fier. The large audience was composed of intellectuals and writers of Fier who expressed words of encouragement for the continuation of the collaboration. The next appointment will be the public library of Lushnjë, between late September and early October. It is expected to arrive at more than 700 books donated by the end of the 2012. Meanwhile we remind all those who can contribute through contacts with publishers or libraries available to donate books that they can write for more information at email@example.com or contact the contacts of our portal.
