Last Wednesday the FARE Network was presented in Forlì, the Forum of Albanian Associations in Emilia Romagna. Testimonials and screening of the documentary "Albania the country in front" to bring citizenship closer to the newer reality of migrant associations.
"Between saying and F.
E. "is the title of the series of meetings organized by the eight associations belonging to the FARE Network to present it in the territories in which they are active. The 10 started last November from Forlì, the city from which FARE took root. Also present at the meeting was the Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Forlì, Davide Drei, and representatives of the Associations "Integrimoci Insieme" of Cervia and Albamedia of Modena. "We started with a functionalist method to identify common principles and objectives through bilateral meetings with the associations and after the elaboration of a first shared document, we met several times in plenary to understand how far we could go," said Endri Xhaferaj, President of FARE and of the Juvenilja Association, in explaining to those present the path of setting up the Network which lasted more than seven months. It started at the end of March. Juvenilja, promoter of FARE, carried out a search to identify the associations active and registered in the provincial rolls of the Emilia Romagna Region. After bilateral meetings with these associations, the first plenary meeting of Forlì on 24 was held last April in which the associations discussed on a shared platform arising from bilateral meetings. Later in the Parma meeting in June, in the two in Bologna in September and through social networks, the associations continued to work on the contents and the form with which to sign their collaboration, moving from a memorandum of understanding to the constitution of a second level association, formally established as the 29 last October. Xhaferaj also explained the reason why we chose to name the Network with the acronym FARE: “Why DO IT? Because we want to do community. We are founded on a national basis but this does not want to be a factor of isolation, rather starting from this ferment, we want to represent and enhance the resources and culture of a community within the public and urban life of the region to create communities of active citizens and aware". Instead, Deana Curraj, who will follow FARE's secretary with Ariana Demiraj, focused briefly on the objectives: “On the one hand, the network will want to promote the Albanian language and culture, engage in the consolidation of the existing associative fabric and become a catalyst for the birth of other associations active at least in other large cities such as Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Ferrara, Cesena. On the other hand, it will support greater participation of migrant citizens in the public sphere and the strengthening of relations between Italy and Albania ". A very important point of reference for FARE will be the secretariat. Therefore, as described by Curraj, the Juvenilja Association which has the first mandate of the Presidency and of the Secretariat of the Network, for greater efficiency and functionality, will involve two figures in its management. One will follow communications with the associations, relations with third parties and the Internet archive, the other the internet site and therefore the relationships with the webmaster, with the associations on the contents of the site and with the consultant who will offer useful information on organizational and fiscal aspects. The Councilor for Social Policies of the Municipality of Forlì, Davide Drei, is very confident and very happy. Almost two years ago, when Drei was not yet an assessor, he was one of the promoters of Juvenilja thanks to a joint action involving the Municipality of Forlì, the Spazi Mediani Cooperative and a group of young Albanians. The latter would become the founding members of Juvenilja. On the other hand, the Municipality of Forlì, together with the Province of Forlì-Cesena, supported the creation of FARE births with regional and European funds. “At one year of age, being at the head of a second-level association, moreover at a regional level, in a region that is a national leader on social integration policies, of a community like the Albanian one which is one of the more important among foreigners, it means that we really had a good intuition more than a year ago, supporting the young people who founded Juvenilja. Then having built the network process of your own initiative, I can only acknowledge that I am doubly proud of this second level, "Councilor Drei said during his speech.
After the presentation, the meeting continued with the screening of the documentary "Albania the country in front" by Roland Sejko and Mauro Brescia, which in the words of Xhaferaj, was chosen precisely to make known the other side of Albania, that less known to Italians, the history of the twentieth century Albanian in which the Italians themselves are very present. The cycle “Between the saying and the F.
E. "The November 14 will continue in Cervia, in November the 21 in Bologna, in November the 26 in Parma and also in Ravenna and Modena in December.
