In the first six months of the 2019, 680 irregular Albanian emigrants were repatriated from Italy to Albania. A value that "gives" Albania the first place in the ranking of irregular migrants of different nationalities identified by the Italian authorities.
The official data were presented in recent days in a report on the situation of immigration in Italy in the Constitutional Affairs Committee of the House by Mauro Palma, guarantor of the prisoners.
In the first semester of the 2019 from the Italian territory 2839 irregular immigrants were repatriated, with the Albanian citizens in first place (practically one in four). By the end of the year the number of repatriated immigrants is expected to rise to around 6000, a value similar to those of recent years.
Behind the Albanian citizens there are Tunisians, with around 300 repatriated in the first six months of this year. The citizens of Peru, Ukraine and China follow.
The Italian parliamentary commission report also announced that the repatriated immigrants make up only the 39% of the total number of immigrants who have received the expulsion order from the Italian territory.

Eurostat: 19.000 Albanian citizens have applied for asylum in the EU in the 2018
The European statistical institute has not yet published any data regarding the asylum applications in the EU countries for the 2019. As for last year, instead, the asylum requests of the Albanian citizens represented the 3% of the total.
The value - 19.000 - has decreased over the years after it reached the 2015 record, with 69.000 asylum seekers.
In 2016, in fact, the value was halved by descending to 33.000 requests, while other gradual decreases were recorded in the 2017 (26.000 required) and now in the 2018.
However, comparing these data to the population, Albania continues to remain in first place as regards asylum requests according to the Albanian Albanian business magazine Monitor. Each 1000 inhabitants, precisely, the Land of Eagles has the record value of 6,6 asylum seekers.
Behind it Georgia, with 4,6 asylum seekers every 1000 inhabitants, and Syria, with 4,4 asylum seekers every 1000 inhabitants. In the first thirty positions there are mainly countries at war or countries in strong economic crisis, such as Venezuela and Turkey.
