Arli Dervishi, candidate of Albanian origin to the municipal council of Almese (Turin) in the last administrative, was the second most voted in the winning civic list 'Almese Bene Comune' with Ombretta Bertolo mayor.
The 23enne born in Italy has therefore achieved its goal (thanks to the 136 preferences) and wanted to thank all those who supported it and voted for it with a long post on its Facebook profile:
"Thanks to all our supporters, thanks to those who supported us right away, thanks to those who voted our list secretly in the polling station, thanks to those who decided to give me their confidence by writing my name on the board. Almese Bene Comune, with mayoral candidate Ombretta Bertolo, won the 2019 local elections with the 69% of the votes compared to the 31% of our Lega opponents.
I was the second most voted advisor candidate in the municipality of Almese with 136 preferences, while the first one obtained 142. I was struck by this result because during the day I knew that the most voted party for the Regionals and the Europeans in Almese was the League, so I thought it difficult to reach so many preferences given my foreign origins.
When I saw the results my heart was filled with joy and for this I warmly thank all my voters, in particular all my friends and their families who contributed to the positive outcome in a decisive manner."- reads Arli Dervishi's post
