Albanian immigration 20 years after the great exodus. The Albanians of Italy from 2.034 people who were in the 1990, are today the largest non-community community present in Italy with 482.627 of residents at the end of 2010.Workers, students, entrepreneurs, artists and writers, families reunited or created in Italy, the Albanians of today represent a well integrated community. Where are the people of the ships and all the others that have arrived to this day? What was the evolution of their emigration to Italy? What are their challenges today? How did they come and how are they seen? These topics will be discussed at the conference "The Albanians of Italy 20 years later".
Speakers include:Franco Pittau, emigration and immigration scholar, coordinator of the Caritas / Migrantes Immigration Dossier, the most important annual collection of data, facts and analysis on the phenomenon of immigration in Italy;Rando Devole, sociologist, journalist and writer, author and co-author of several books on Albanian emigration;Alessandro Leogrande, journalist and writer, author of the book "Shipwreck death in the Mediterranean" on the sad story of Katër i Radës;Edmond Godo, representative of the Albanian community at the City Council for Immigration of Roma Capitale;Darien Levani, young journalist and writer, His latest novel is "The famous magical qukapik"Aldo Renato Terrusi, retired physicist, author of the book on his sad personal story "Return to the land of the eagles";Keti Biçoku, director Bota Shqiptare It will be inaugurated "Integration”Photo exhibition by Vittorio Arcieri, photojournalist and journalist.
