Prime Minister Edi Rama was a guest today at the international forum 'The blue economy in the Mediterranean', in the Fiera del Levante in Bari.
Rama: "My Albania as Berlusconi's Italy"
During his speech, the premier invited all investors to consider Albania as a country of great potential, thanks above all to the benefits offered.
"Albania is today the space where Italian entrepreneurs can invest without being terrified by taxes and bureaucracy. All they dreamed of having when they heard my dear President Berlusconi have it in Albania: a country almost without taxes.
Who invests in Albania today on tourism at 5 Stars has 10 years of activity with no tax and VAT at 6%. From the tax point of view we are a normal country but compared to Italy we are an earthly paradise. "- stated Edi Rama.
The former mayor of Tirana then spoke of the strong bond between Italy and Albania, especially with Puglia:
"In Puglia we feel at home because there is a strong bond, with Albania there are great similarities. The Puglia of today is not that of a few years ago, it is a very different reality that offers us the example in everything, like the way in which it sees the future and the courage to go beyond everyday things.
Michele (Emiliano, ed) always says laughing that Puglia is a region of Albania; also for this reason I always think that the Puglia region should see Albania as its "natural" space for the expansion of common projects.
There is a lot to do together, you can do much more than you did. There are not only bonds of friendship and sensitivity but also important common interests."- concluded Prime Minister Rama.
