Last week the presentation of the Albania of small villages seminar took place at Palazzo Vegni in Florence: An educational experience on the knowledge of the cultural heritage of the lesser art centers of Albania.
The event was organized by the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence and saw a large participation of students, teachers and representatives of associations linked to the Albanian diaspora in Italy.
The seminar is aimed at Albanian students of the University of Florence and is part of the broader research dedicated to the knowledge and enhancement of some Albanian rural realities. The aim is to establish and promote guidelines in this direction thanks to the collaboration between the University, the International Organization of Migration (IOM) and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
The day included an intense interdisciplinary program that reached its peak in the anthropologist's conference Fatos Dingo around themes and problems related to the plural Albanian identities, formed over the centuries and inherited until today.
The question of the structure of identity has raised reflections and debates rich in cues that inevitably also cross the delicate relationship with the cultural and artistic heritage, a central topic of the seminar and of future research activities related to it.
It will be possible to register until April 12.
