On the occasion of the 99 anniversary of the independence of Albania, the group that marked the history of Albanian rock music, the band ELITA 5, arrives for the first time in Florence, in a spectacular live concert.
The concert will be held at the FLOG Auditorium in Florence, Via Michele Mercati 24 / b, and is scheduled for Wednesday 30 November 2011, at 21: 00.
Guests of honor, the band of Tetova. It is one of the band that marked and indicated the path of Albanian rock music in the post-communism period. A fresh and brilliant band, which pays its tribute to American rock but also to the Albanian roots of the first rock bands formed in the 70 years in Kosovo. And this is probably the real key to success for the group. Unlike other Albanian bands, not only the Elita 5 have never denied their origins, but they have made a point of strength. And also for this reason they are a cross band, which appeals to young people as well as to the less young, to the Albanians of Macedonia as well as to those of Kosovo and Albania.
Elita 5 is an Albanian rock band from Tetovo (Macedonia). The idea and the initiative for the formation of the group was born in the middle of the 80 years, by four students of the same age, Agron, Besim, Mevaip and Ferat. The official foundation of the group took place in January of the year 1990, when the group was joined by the vocalist Arif Ziberi, at that time only 22 enne. The decision to name the Elita group meant the ambitious desire to be elite members of Albanian music. In fact the name has been very prophetic and has proven itself over the years. The members were 5 and so in the name of the band took shape as "ELITA 5". Several months later, composer Nexhat Mujovi, 18 enne, joined the group that year. The group's debut album was released in April of the 1990, entitled "Don Kishotet ne Korzo" (The Don Chisciotti in Korzo), a concrete allusion to the Serbian occupation of Kosovo.
The 1992 year was a decisive year for the group. In September of the '92 came the second album, "Nuk jam Al Kapone" (I'm not Al Capone), a true musical masterpiece that gave the green light to the group and their affirmation to the general public of all ages. Other songs in this abum are: "Të pres" (I'll wait), "Çka m'ka syri" (Why my eyes cry), "Trishtimi" (The sadness), "Simfonia e detit" (The symphony of the sea) , "Nora", etc. In May of the '94 they released the third album entitled "Fol vetem fol" (Speak, speak only ...), which was a continuation of the success of the previous album. It is worth remembering the songs: "Fol vetem fol" (Speak, speak only ...), a pure irony for the Albanian political class of Kosovo and Macedonia, and also a call to negotiate the efforts for dialogue on the opening of the first Albanian university in Tetovo; "Xhi më bone" (What did you do to me), "Udhëtari i natës" (The traveler of the night), "Iluzion" (Illusion), "Ti e vrave dashurinë" (You killed love), "Dashuria është diçka tjatër "(Love is another thing), etc. This album was created for the first time in the new digital music format CD - COMPACT DISC.
The concerts continued throughout Europe, especially in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Austria, etc., thus giving the group an ever greater fame. In April the 1997 released the new album entitled "Si Marilyn Monroe" (Like Marilyn Monroe), from which we can quote: "Unë e di se ku të dhëmb" (I know your weak point), "Dashuria e parë" (First love), "S'mund ta blesh ti shpirtin tim" (You cannot buy my soul), "Sajzeza" (Black eyes), "Vjeshtë në zemër" (Autumn in the heart), etc. In the 1998, a collection was released with 14 successes from previous albums. The war in Kosovo in the 1998 temporarily paralyzed the group's concerts up to the 2000, a date in which the group held a concert in Tetovo to celebrate entry into the third millennium, but also the 10 anniversary anniversary of the group's formation.
In the 2004 came the album "Bardh e Zi" (Black and White), from here it is worth mentioning: "Ah të isha më i ri" (Ah if I had been younger); "Fat në fatkeqësi" (Fortune in the bad luck); "Sot këtu e nesër atje" (Today here and tomorrow there) a tribute to Queen; "Bardh e Zi" (Black and White), a nostalgic requiem of the situation in which one entered the XXI century; "Ani moj and majra" (It does nothing my dear) duet with Adelina Ismaili; and above all the super-hit "Faleminderit" (Thanks) with its excellent video clip.
In the 2006 the group released another super-hit, the ballad "Cmendem" (Impazzisco), which still attracts and excites the public of any age. It is also worth mentioning that ELITA 5 participated in an evening at the Royal Albert Hall in the Royal Hall in London and that in the 2008 they received the title of "Honorary Citizens of Tetovo" by the Municipality of Tetovo and by the Union of Artists and Intellectuals Albanians, for their outstanding contributions in the field of music. Still in the 2008, ELITA 5, they sang in Tirana in a huge party concert on the occasion of Albania's entry into NATO.
During the 2010-2011 the work continues and takes her for the new album that should come out soon. So far three songs have already been recorded. "Sikur në harem" (Like in a harem), "Pa fat" (Without luck), "Nuk jam diktator" (I'm not a dictator), the latter song that according to the members, will have the fame and success of a "I'm not Al Capone 2", which the group promised us as a surprise that will be performed live for the first time right at the 30 November 2011 concert, Wednesday at 21: 00, at the FLOG Auditorium in Florence.
The concert will be opened by the guest Robert Bisha , young and talented Albanian pianist who lives in Italy. 12 August 1982 is born in Scutari and lives in Vau-Dejes and grows in a musical climate that has certainly influenced his life choices. Ilpadre Ndue Tonin is a self-taught accordionist and his maternal grandfather was a folkloric singer from Scutari. Only for 6 years he attended the school of music Prenkë Jakova of Scutari far from his family, this involves not only the beginning of his musical knowledge in first person but also the formation of an independent character and decided to follow the artist's path. He grows up and practices, betrays the piano with the guitar, wants to leave school but fortunately the intervention of a skilled guitar teacher brings him back to work with this instrument for 2 years and a half.
