On Sunday 14 November in Cervia the second appointment of the cycle “Between the saying and the F.
E. "which aims to promote and present the FARE Network in the cities of the member associations in it.
It was Liljana Picari, President of "Integriamoci insieme", one of the eight associations adhering to the Forum of Albanian Associations in Emilia Romagna, and that for many years has been promoting the Albanian culture in Cervia and its surroundings, to introduce the Councilor to Education, Social Policies and the Integration of the Municipality of Cervia, Marco Zatti, the President of the FARE Network, Endri Xhaferaj, and the issues discussed then during the meeting: immigration, cultural mediation and migrant associations, in particular the Albanian one. Speaking of immigration and integration, Picari wanted to stress that cultural mediation and migrant associations play an important role in the integration processes: “thanks to the synergy between the municipal administration of Cervia, the world of volunteering, foreign cultural mediators and Italians have been able to establish bridges that favor integration and the success of the Privileged Witness project was guaranteed, concerning the presence of cultural mediators in the schools of Cervia for initiatives on the cultures of different countries ". Councilor Zatti took the leap to the leap, expressly declaring the Administration's intention to continue the experiences narrated by Picari and despite the moment of crisis the resources for social policies including those on integration will be guaranteed also next year. Merit, according to the Councilor, of the Cervia community "always open to integration, in ancient times thanks to the salt trade, today thanks to tourism". A cultural aspect of which the people of Cervia must be proud because "makes those who come to Cervia can live with dignity, beyond their origin". "See the citizens of tomorrow grow as they study, work, make their contribution, but at the same time they are rich in culture, they bring the traditions and culture of their country. This is only good for a company ", concluded his speech, the Councilor to reiterate the importance of the cultural wealth of which second-generation citizens, citizens of Cervia in all respects, are carriers. Instead Endri Xhaferaj in presenting the FARE Network of which he is President highlighted the importance of associations and the third sector "in creating citizens": "often the greatest concern of migrants is to be able to integrate into the workplace, social, have a sustainability economic, but to create a true citizen, there is much need of the third sector, since in Emilia-Romagna there is a very high participation rate, the local communities are organized. And the birth of FARE is due to all this ”. A reality formed by Albanian associations that "does not want to be a factor of ghettoization, but a first step towards wider integration".
Two actions on which the Network will be activated immediately: the website to give visibility to all the associations and especially those that do not have it and then work among us to consolidate ourselves before proposing ourselves as partners of other associations or local bodies. The meeting then continued with a debate among those present, concluding with the vision of the documentary on Albania. The next meetings for the presentation of the Network will be held in Bologna on November 21 and in Parma on November 26. Instead in December also in Ravenna and Modena.
