The week of Culture promoted by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Cultural Activities is obviously the most propitious occasion to rediscover and admire the historical and artistic heritage of Italy, in its stupendous variety rich in places, works, monuments, museums, areas archaeological sites, state galleries and non-state sites that have joined the initiative. The 13 Aprile, at the Royal Palace of Naples was presented by Dr. Gregorio Angelini, Regional Director for Cultural and Landscape Heritage of Campania, the regional program of the 2012 Culture Week.
The perception of the strategic role played by culture for the quality of growth and national development is increasingly widespread.
Traditionally the Culture Week presents itself with an extraordinary opening of museums and all other institutional sites - from the 14 to the 22 April - Italian and foreign citizens are offered the opportunity to visit and enjoy these numerous cultural heritages for free. « With "Welcome to the Museum" - declared the Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities, Prof. Lorenzo Ornaghi - the Italian cultural heritage opens once more to young people, combining dissemination and training. We want to revive the interest of the new generations for the beauty and richness of artistic features of our country. For nine days the museums and places of culture will be enriched by the participation of those who are called to become the cultural operators of the future ».
It continues with its most cordial greetings to all visitors and public and private institutions that have joined this festive spring initiative.
Or his most sincere wish begins with these words: "[...] that the beauty from which they will be wrapped touches their soul, arousing wonder, pride and a little relief, so necessary in a historical season like the present". Campania recognizes itself as heir and custodian of an unparalleled treasure and is rich in activities that involve all the provinces. "This year, perhaps also due to the moment of crisis that we are going through, new ways of communicating activities have been identified. and at the same time heritage, numerous are in fact guided tours, events for children and conferences on different topics held by officials. In particular in the archaeological sector, the largest in terms of the number of emergencies in the region, the offer of in-depth studies is very high.
Perhaps from the moment of crisis a new hypothesis of communication on cultural heritage could arise, aimed at implementing, in addition to conservation, the cultural activities offered to occasional or loyal visitors "- declares Gregorio Angelini at a press conference.
This identity statement, which is not homogeneous in the region, should be recovered even in areas where, due to innumerable circumstances, it has been lacking because the participation of citizens is the only system to promote and with it the valorisation.
All this could not have been achieved without the active participation of the citizens who personally represent the cultural identity, a special thanks obviously goes also to the volunteers to those who contribute to the maintenance of these cultural heritages, to start with the volunteers of the GAV to continue with non-profit voluntary associations, proloco and municipalities themselves. What to visit?
Campania is divided into beautiful landscapes of lands that smell of culture, history, antiquity and tradition, starting with the Neapolitan, Avellino, Beneventana, Casertana and finally with the Cilento.
Naples has been the center of attention since the beginning of the month with the lines of the America's Cup.

Exultet iam angelica turba coelorum, still performed today during the functions of Holy Saturday. The sheets are enclosed in air-conditioned auto showcases built by the Central Institute of Pathology of the Book, designed to allow the correct display of delicate artifacts. The manuscript, like the numerous contemporary testimony in Italian libraries, was a scroll that was played from the top of the pulpit during the religious service: while the deacon read the text, the faithful could follow the prayer through the images that progressively took place towards them. Only the beginning of the prologue, written in Gothic script, survives. It was believed that the Salerno Exultet was composed only of images and that it lacked the written part, but the careful study of the photographic reproduction carried out in the 1913 reveals that the manuscript was tampered with when it was cut, and that some fragments are missing, probably the strategically placed textual parts to allow, as already said, the vision of the painted parts.
