The well-known Albanian chef Bledar Kola will participate in the upcoming 22 and 23 June at the 'Al Mèni' cooking festival (in the Romagna dialect 'le mani'), which will be held in Rimini in Piazzale Fellini.
The festival will see twenty-four chefs, 12 rising stars of international cuisine and 12 among the greatest representatives of the cuisine and tradition of the Emilia Romagna Region, in pairs, alternating on Saturday and Sunday in the large open kitchen to create unique dishes at prices from street food.
Bledar Kola and the slow-food kitchen
"Among the international chefs of this edition, the talents who anticipate times and places, starting from Bledar Kola, the reference chef in Albania where he is an entrepreneur and cultural protagonist." - reads the presentation of the Albanian chef.
The term 'cultural protagonist' is not at all accidental. Bledar Kola, in fact, it is one of the main actors of the rebirth of the Albanian culinary tradition and of the slow-food, finding again the roots of the kitchen revitalizing them and basing themselves on the local product and on the tradition in a modern key.
Not by chance he also founded "RRNO for me gatue", An international network composed of the best Albanian chefs inside and outside Albania: united for a single goal, that of re-founding, developing and promoting Albanian cuisine.
The idea was born six years ago by the famous chef Massimo Bottura, who imagined a Fellini-inspired circus tent in the middle of the square dedicated to him and thought of a great celebration of the cuisine and products of Emilia Romagna in the spontaneous climate of a street party.
To transform the idea into an event was the Municipality of Rimini, along with the passion and knowledge of the Chef to Chef Association Emilia Romagna Cuochi and Slow Food Emilia Romagna, which has the task of enhancing the products of a unique region in Europe has a basket of 44 PDO and PGI products.
