An intense day, that of Saturday 7 December, which closes the programming of the Month of Albanian Culture organized by the Scanderbeg Association of Parma.
As already announced at the presentation last month, the 7 day there will be the inauguration of a monument named after the Albanian national hero, Scanderbeg, from which the same association takes its name.
The ceremony, which will be held at 10.00 at the Eunice Kennedy Park in Via Bizzozzero in Parma, has a double meaning. Not only for the Albanian community of Parma and the province, which will have closer to itself an important symbol of its historical-cultural identity, but also because the capital of Emilia will be the first, throughout northern Italy, to have a monument named after Scanderbeg .

In addition to the morning event, at 19.00 there will be the Grand Finale with the Independence Dinner at the Hotel San Marco in Ponte Taro, also in the province of Parma.
We report the wording as per the official program, but in reality the collective event turned into a charity dinner to raise funds for the Albanian population hit hard by the very strong 26 earthquake in November.
As confirmed by the same association, the guest of honor who accepted the invitation will be the famous Albanian actor Mirush Kabashi, which will also bear his personal testimony of the events of that day and how the solidarity machine is moving from the following days.
The invitation to participate, now more than ever, is extended not only to the Albanian community but also to the Italian one, which has not failed to express its closeness to Albania both materially and morally (Facebook event link)
