The joyful celebration of Italian and foreign peoples and cultures, ExpoCarnival, will end on Saturday 9 March in Milan - at the 'Cascina Casottello' - with the presentation of the book 'Il Grande Sbarco: Italy and the discovery of immigration' at presence of the author, Valerio De Cesaris.
The book recalls the political climate and the debate of those years, full of epochal changes in the world and in Italy. And it tells the exciting story of the Vlora and its passengers 18.000, which filled with hope the Adriatic jump to reach Italy, their America.
De Cesaris, passionate about Albanian history, tells not only the work done for this text, but also his first approach to the country in front, as he calls it.
The Ambrosian Carnival becomes an important occasion with ExpoCarnival to celebrate the

in the Milan area, open dialogues and promote mutual knowledge.
