Five Albanian artists will represent Albania at the 54. International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, to be held from 4 June to 27 November.
The curator of the Albanian exhibition, Italian art professor Riccardo Caldura, announced in March that Anila Rubiku, Orion Shima, Gentian Shkurti, Eltjon Valle and Driant Zeneli will make up the Albanian team.
The exhibition will be called Geopathies, a title that aims to highlight the close relationship between the work of art and the geographical, social and historical context ".
Caldura said that the selection of the five artists was taken into account by their national and international experiences and the variety of their stylistic and formal approaches.
