And in fact it moves the story of Antonio Pane, the professional stopgap who reinvents himself by changing his job every day in an almost dehumanized and amorphous Milan, and he moves his social analysis of total actuality into the uncertainty of a precarious and nebulous tomorrow, in the pain of life that afflicts the young generations - a figure for all, that of Lucia -.
A company with many hardships, in other words: Ivo's anxiety that, despite having studied and living from what he loves most, music, at night he can't sleep because of his precarious situation, and a future that doesn't know what color he will have . The spiral of depression in which Lucia is enveloped, lost in the search for a path of her own. And also that discomfort called corruption, in the end, to which Antonio cannot bend and which makes him run away, looking for something better, a new place, a hope to get out of that squalid metropolitan gray where the road seems to be already traced.
And here comes Amelio's new Albania, perhaps a place of redemption. Here is a new country, ready, who knows, to transform this final by rewriting it with the name of "opportunity", to welcome those who had been on the other side of the reception years before; a land that of Lamerica it has nothing left: the financial collapse now far away, as well as the mass exoduses along the Adriatic and the desperation of the 90 years.
